Driver’s Licenses can be renewed up to 12 months before they expire.  Do not wait.  Go ahead and renew now and upgrade to a REAL ID if you have not already.

• Wednesday, September 16, 2026 (3^rd Wednesday)
• No visit scheduled in October 2026
• Wednesday, November 18, 2026 (3^rd Wednesday – at Pearisburg Fire Station)
• Thursday, December 17, 2026 (3^rd Thursday)

Appointments can be made online at dmv.virginia.gov/appointments under DMV Connect-Pearisburg Community Center.  Walk-ins will still be accepted as availability allows.

The federal government is enforcing REAL ID compliant credential, or another federally approved form of ID, in order to board a domestic flight or enter a secure federal facility.

Renew early to avoid the stress.

Knowledge testing for Learner’s Permit and CDL is NOT available during these visits.

• Titles – original (with or without liens), substitute, replacement, title maintenance (change information on title records)
• Registrations – originals, renewals, transfers, re-issues and plate surrender
• Special and personalized license plate orders
• Trip permits, overload permits
• Handicapped parking placards
• Transcripts – vehicle, driver
• Address changes not involving issuance of a driver license or ID card
• Some dealer title and registration transactions (No online dealers or franchise dealership work)

We accept: Cash, check, and all major credit or debit cards for DMV transactions (different for County transactions)
